A thorough drain-cleaning method for stubborn buildup, roots, and recurring blockages when the pipe is a good candidate.

The short answer

Hydro jetting uses controlled high-pressure water to clean grease, sludge, scale, and other buildup from the inside of a drain or sewer line. Precision Plumbing uses a camera-based assessment for Eugene, Springfield, and Lane County properties to confirm the pipe can be jetted safely and to choose the right cleaning approach.

When to Call Us

Any one of these is worth a look. The earlier the cause is identified, the more repair options you usually still have.

01

Drains clog again soon after standard cabling

02

Grease or scale buildup affects a kitchen or commercial line

03

Several fixtures are slow despite repeated cleaning

04

A camera shows buildup along the pipe walls

05

Roots or debris need more than a simple opening through the blockage

How the Job Goes

No mystery, no surprise invoice. Here is the order of operations.

01

Inspect the line and verify pipe condition with a camera when needed.

02

Choose the correct nozzle, pressure, and access point for the line.

03

Jet the line to remove buildup and restore full flow capacity.

04

Confirm the result and discuss any pipe defects found during service.

Why It Matters

Opening a small path through a clog may restore flow temporarily, but it does not always remove the buildup that caused it. Hydro jetting can clean the line more thoroughly when the pipe is suitable for the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hydro jetting safe for old pipes?

It can be safe when the pipe is in sound enough condition, but it is not appropriate for every damaged or fragile line. A camera inspection helps determine whether hydro jetting is the right option.

What does hydro jetting remove?

Hydro jetting can remove grease, sludge, mineral buildup, soft root growth, and accumulated debris from pipe walls, depending on the line and blockage.

Is hydro jetting better than snaking?

The tools do different jobs. A cable is effective for many blockages, while hydro jetting is useful when the goal is to clean substantial buildup from the inside of a suitable pipe.

Do you need a camera inspection before hydro jetting?

A camera inspection is strongly recommended for recurring problems, older lines, or any situation where pipe damage is possible. It helps protect the line and target the right repair.

Can hydro jetting fix a broken sewer pipe?

No. Jetting cleans a line; it does not repair cracks, offsets, or collapsed pipe. If the camera finds structural damage, Precision Plumbing will explain the repair options.
